Volunteering

The Kennebec Valley Humane Society needs volunteers on a daily basis to assist with a variety of tasks. KVHS would not exist without the help of our generous and dedicated volunteers. Can you picture yourself walking dogs? Socializing with a cat? Maybe dishes and laundry is your cup of tea? Additional help is needed on a daily basis with cat kennel cleaning and feeding and working with animals at our satellite locations. Aside from animal care there is much more to running an animal shelter. We can also use assistance with fundraising and special events.

If you are interested in volunteering, please start by watching our Becoming a Volunteer video. Then complete the application using the code from the video. Once your application is submitted, it will be reviewed by the Volunteer Manager. The volunteer Manager will reach out via phone or email to schedule orientation. Be on the lookout for an email from volunteer@pethavenlane.org.

If you are interested in volunteering from home, or even from the classroom, please check out our Help From Home Guide! This guide provides fun, interactive ways to help enrich the lives of our shelter animals.
